Weather permitting, Kelpie will be opening for the last week of April and will continue to be open until towards the end of September.


Following the passing of both Kieran and Amanda over 2022/2023, Kelpie remains up for sale, albeit not yet with another estate agent pending completion of a home refresh. I'm also looking at making a room available via Airbnb once this work has been completed.

As with 2023, I am planning to open for as much of 2024 as possible and will manage capacity to reflect that the site is run by me on my own whilst also undertaking a very busy full time job. There will likely be some times where the site isn't open at all due to the impossibility of working 15 hours/day, 7 days/week for 7 months of the year, but I'll fit any breaks around quiet times.

For those that stay regularly, thank you for your friendship over the years. It has been a real pleasure and hopefully I will see many of you again before the site is sold.

For new visitors, welcome. I work exceptionally hard to give you the best possible holiday and to make your time here as stress free as possible. There are some things outside of my control that I can't manage - weak TV signal in places (I plan to have a couple of TV aerials available to lend where needed), poor mobile phone coverage across most of the site unless you are on EE/3, slightly sloping pitches, chemical toilets - but everything else is aimed at your enjoyment.

We purchased Kelpie in 2014 because we loved the area and we loved the field. Kieran really embraced the site and turned it into a beautiful space for people to enjoy. Our dogs certainly love exploring the field when it is empty and the gates closed! We hope you enjoy and appreciate the site as much as we have over the years.

Situated approximately halfway between Tenby and Pembroke, Kelpie is a peaceful family run Camping & Caravanning Club Certified Site which boasts beautiful views of the countryside. Kelpie is set in 3 acres on the edge of the beautiful village of Manorbier, which is part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.  This is an ideal base for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath.

The good news is dogs are very welcome at our campsite and there are no restrictions on the local beach so perfect for a family holiday!
